Teatime Takes to the Mountains!

Spring wedding season winding down as Teatime takes to the mountains! This past weekend Teatime and crew headed out to the Shenandoah Mountains to cater an outdoor wedding reception at a private home near Strasburg. With a spectacular mountain view backdrop for the bride and groom, guests enjoyed Jumbo Shrimp and Assorted Bruschetta. Under a backyard tent, Teatime served a Carved Steamship round of Beef; Chicken Cordon Bleu; Garlic and Rosemary Roasted Potatoes; Cesar Salad; Farfelle with Sun Dried Tomato, Cilantro and Parmesan. The wedding cake was a Bourbon Street Fudge Cake with Raspberry Filling.

New Reception Facility

August events will feature a new reception facility, The Cherry Hill Farmhouse in Falls Church VA. It's a lovely facility in the heart of Falls Church, part of the parks and planning properties. This will be an inside/outside wedding reception with both White and Red Sangria on the bar selection as well as Southern Sweet Tea and Lemonade. We are all hoping the current heat and humidity will give us a break! Remember when planning outside events in the Washington DC, Northern VA, Maryland area to allow for "plan B" as well as dressing appropriately for the heat.

Funniest Moment Thus Far

Has to be Fourth of July 2006. Fairfax VA area got a rip snorter of a thunder storm late afternoon. That would be right after I had fully loaded a 5 burner Viking gas grill with marinated chicken thighs and ribs. What could a caterer do? Man the grill and get a delightful soaking at the same time! Just to show you, Teatime Delicacies, Inc. goes the extra mile!
